Hi! I'm Katy and I’m a professional photographer based at Hawley Beach on the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania, specialising in candid, natural and documentary style photography.

Forever driven by curiosity and creativity, I have been capturing stories with the camera for over a decade. I love taking photos that capture natural light, beautiful surroundings, and most importantly, the wonderful connections you have with the special people in your life, whether that be your children, your partner, your elders, or even your pets. I’m not about awkward posing or smiling for the camera; the warmest and most natural smiles and moments come when you are looking at each other, engaging with your loved ones, and just being you.

In 2022, after 10 years living and working in the UK, my family and I moved from the northern depths of picturesque Cumbria, to the idyllic beachside town of Hawley Beach, swapping cobblestone roads and ancient castles for sandy beaches and sunshine. I’m a big fan of the simple life, and when I’m not taking photos I love being amongst nature, reading, writing and going for swims in these beautifully clear Tassie waters with my wonderfully supportive and hardworking husband, and our two boys.

Now more than ever, I believe in the power of photography; not just as a means to remember a moment in time, but in order to tell your story, to make the past present, and to document the connections you have with the special people in your life.
